Afterthemencontinuedtodemandmoney,makethreats,andsearchthecar,whichwas t parkedbehindtheapartmentcomplex,themenplacedthevictiminthebackseatofhercar.They ` orderedhertoremainonherhandsandkneeswithherheadpressedagainstthedriversseat.One L  ofthemendrovethecaroutoftheapartmentcomplex.Theydrovearoundforawhile,thenreturned 8  totheapartmentcomplex.Whiletheydrove,however,themencontinuedtomakethreatsagainst $ t thevictim,and,atonepoint,themansittinginthepassengerseattookthegunandhelditagainst  ` herribs.Whentheyarrivedbackattheapartmentcomplex,themenstoppedthecarandtoldthe  L  victimnottomove.Thethreementhengotoutofthecarandfled.Afteraminuteortwo,the  8  victimrantohercousinsapartment,butwhennooneansweredthedoor,sheranacrossthestreet $  toaconveniencestore.Theclerkattheconveniencestoresummonedpoliceofficerswhowere   nearbytoaidthevictim.Thevictimtestifiedthattheentireepisodewiththethreemenlasted   betweentwentyandthirtyminutes,andthatthementookherpager,adollarbillfromhercars   console,andapackofcigarettes.Shewasunabletoidentifyanyofherassailants.     OfficerMarkRewaltoftheMemphisPoliceDepartmenttestifiedthatheobtainedlatent \ fingerprintsfromthedoorsofthevictimscarearlyonthemorningofJune21,2000.The H fingerprintsrecoveredfromthevictimscarwereprocessedthroughanautomatedfingerprint 4 identificationsystemandanalyzedbyalatentfingerprintexaminer.Thefingerprintstakenfromthe  p vehiclematchedthoseoftheDefendant.  \   SergeantJefferyPolkoftheMemphisPoliceDepartmenttestifiedthatheinvestigatedthe 4 Defendantsinvolvementintheoffense.HetestifiedthattheDefendantconfessedtotherobbery   andkidnappingofthevictimandhisuseofagunduringthecommissionofthecrimes.The   DefendantexplainedtoSergeantPolkhowheandtheothertwomenpushedthevictimintothecar,  drovetotherearoftheapartmentcomplex,searchedthecar,putherinthebackseat,drovearound,  andultimatelyabandonedthecarandthevictim. Allthewhilethemencontinuedtodemandmoneyfromthevictimandthreatenherlife.Ultimately   theyforcedherontoherhandsandkneesinthebackseatofthevehiclewhiletheydrovearoundfor  severalminutes.Aftertheyabandonedthevictimandhercar,sherealizedthattheyhadtakena  smallamountofcash,herpager,andapackofcigarettes.Thevictimstestimonyclearlyestablishes  thatanespeciallyaggravatedkidnappingandanaggravatedrobberyoccurred,butshewasunable l toidentifyherattackers. X    Acrimesceneinvestigatortestifiedthatheliftedlatentfingerprintsfromtheexteriorofthe 0"   victimsvehicle.Afterrunningtheprintsthroughanautomatedfingerprintidentificationsystemand #l! visuallycomparingtheprintsfromthecarwithsamplesoftheDefendantsfingerprints,thepolice  determinedthattheprintstakenfromthecarbelongedtotheDefendant.     However,themostdamningevidenceagainsttheDefendantisthestatementhegavetothe t police.Headmittedhisparticipationintherobberyandkidnappingofthevictim.Healsostated ` thatheusedablack.25caliberpistolduringtheepisodeandthatasmallamountofcashanda L  beeperweretakenfromthevictim.Whenaskedtoexplaintherobberyinhisownwords,the 8  Defendantstated: $ t 8   ` Wewerelookingforsomebodytorob,andwesawagirlinablueorapurple  ` Hyundai.Shewasjustgettingin,andIranuptoherwiththegun.Itoldher, Give  L  methemoney,andshedidnthavenomoney.ThenItoldhertomoveoveronthe  8  passengerside.Curtiscametothedriverssidewithme,andTerrelltothebackseat. $  Theyweresearchingthecar.Curtisjumpedunderthewheelinthedriversseat,and   IgotinthebackwithTerrell.CurtisdrovetothebackofMillbranchApartments.   Wewassteadytalkingtoher,askingwherewasthemoney.Shesaidsheainthave   none.ThenCurtisjumpedoutofthedriversseat,andwentandopenedthetrunk.   Hegotabagwithsomehairproductsinitandpoureditoutinthecar.Wetoldher p togetoutandgetinthebackwithTerrell.Wetoldhertolaydown,andTerrellhad \ thegunsoshecouldntgetup.ThenCurtisjumpedbackunderthewheelanddrove H totheVillageSquareApartments.Wedrovearound,thendrovebacktothe 4 Millbranch,andwejumpedoutandran.Shestayedinthecar. p     0   TheDefendantsstatementclearlyestablishesthatheusedaguntostealmoneyandabeeperH(#(# fromthevictim.Duringthecourseoftherobbery,hekeptthevictiminthecaratgunpointand 4 hadherlaydowninthebackseatwhiletheydrovearound.Accordingly,theevidenceis   sufficienttosustaintheDefendantsconvictions,andthisissueiswithoutmerit.
