L  @@OO& OPINION #RXX #X XR $"t! #RXX 8 #  X XR0   ` OnApril7,1998,thedefendantpleadedguiltyinindictmentnumber39421tofive #L# countsofpassingworthlesschecks,onecountoftheft,andonecountofspeeding.Theguilty $8 $ pleaagreementprovidedforthedismissalof36othercountsintheindictmentandthe %$!% consecutivealignmentofsixelevenmonth,29daysentences.Inlieuofincarcerationinthe &"& DepartmentofCorrection,thecourtplacedthedefendantonprobation.'"'(#(#    ` Fourdaysaftertheimpositionoftheconvictionsandsentences,thedefendantwas )$) chargedwithaggravatedburglaryandtheft,chargesthatresultedinindictmentnumber39956.On p*%* December9,1998,baseduponthenewcharges,thetrialcourtrevokedthedefendantsprobation \+&+ incasenumber39421.Thecourtorderedthedefendanttoserve30daysinthecountyjail,after H,', whichthedefendantresumedprobation. 4-(- _@*   ` AlsoonDecember9,1998,thedefendantpleadedguiltytothechargesofaggravated  burglaryandtheftincasenumber39956.Thecourtimposedconvictionsfortheseoffenses,resulting  inaneffectivesentenceoffouryears;however,thisfouryearsentencewasimposedtorun t consecutivelytotheeffectivesentenceincasenumber39421.Thedefendantwasorderedtoserve ` 120daysinthecountyjailonthenewsentence,andthedefendantwasplacedonprobationforthe L  remainderofthatsentence. 8     ` OnJune2,1999,anewprobationrevocationwarrantwasfiled,allegingthatthe  ` defendantwasarrestedonMay20,1999fordrivingonarevokedorsuspendedlicenseandfailure  L  topaycosts.Basedonthiswarrant,onAugust20,1999thetrialcourtrevokedprobationincases  8  39421and39956andorderedthedefendanttoserveseventeendaysinthecountyjail.The $  remainderoftheaggregatesentences,whichweretoexpireonApril5,2008,weretobeservedon   probation.      ` OnJuly10,2000,thestatefiledtherevocationwarrantincases39421and39956   resultingintheprobationrevocationthatiscurrentlyunderreview.Asabasisforrevocation,this p newwarrantallegedthatthedefendantwasarrestedfortheftonMay27,2000.Attheprobation \ revocationhearing,thedefendantadmittedthatshehadviolatedherprobationasallegedinthe H warrant.Althoughsheaskedtobereturnedtoprobation,thetrialcourtorderedhertoservethe 4 remainderofhereffectivesentenceofapproximatelytenyearsintheDepartmentofCorrection.  p    ` Itisfromthisorderthatthedefendantappeals.Sheclaimsthatservingthebalance H ofthetenyearsentenceintheDepartmentofCorrectionisexcessive.Wehavereviewedtherecord, 4 thebriefsoftheparties,andtheapplicablelaw,andweconcludethatthetrialcourtwaswithinits   discretioninorderingserviceofthesentencesasoriginallyimposed.      ` Tennesseelawprovidesthatatrialcourtthatrevokesadefendantsprobationmay  orderthedefendantincarceratedfortheremainderoftheoriginalsentence.Tenn.CodeAnn.40  35310,311(1997).Wereviewacourtsordertoservetheoriginalsentenceunderanabuseof l discretionstandard.Statev.Harkins,811S.W.2d79,82(Tenn.1991).
