Thepetitionercontendscounselwasineffectivebyfailingtoinformpetitionerhewas \ ineligibletobesentencedasaRangeIImultipleoffenderbecausehispriorVirginiaconviction H consistedofanoffensecommittedaftertheinstantoffenses.SeeTenn.CodeAnn.4035106(b)(1) 4 ("'Priorconviction'meansaconvictionforanoffenseoccurringpriortothecommissionofthe  p offenseforwhichthedefendantisbeingsentenced.").However,asnotedbythepostconviction  \ court,petitionerstillfacedthepossibilityof125yearsevenasastandardoffender.Thus,petitioner H hasnotshownthathadheknownhefaced125yearsinsteadof200years,hewouldhaveinsisted 4 ongoingtotrial.   Ѐ     Thepetitionernextallegeshispleaswereinvoluntarilyenteredbecausecounselfailedto  conductanadequateinvestigationofthefactualbackgroundofthechargesandfailedtointerview  statewitnesses.Thepostconvictioncourtfoundnodeficiencyinthisregard,andtheevidencedoes  notpreponderateagainstthisfinding.Furthermore,petitionerhasmadenoshowingthathewould l nothaveenteredthepleaiftrialcounselhaddoneanythingdifferentlywithregardtohis X  investigation.
