Thedefendantalsopresentedthetestimonyofhisgirlfriendsmother,withwhomhehad x  beenlivingforsometime.Shestatedthatshehadknownthedefendantforthreeyears,the ^  lengthoftimethedefendanthadbeendatingherdaughter.Thewitnesstestifiedthatsheandher D  daughtercouldassistthedefendantincomplyingwithprobationbytransportinghimand *z  otherwisesupportinghisefforts.Shealsocorroboratedthedefendantstestimonythathehelped ` aroundthehouseandaidedherhusbandinhisactivitieswiththeJayceesorganization.On F crossexamination,thewitnessadmittedthatshehadnotbeenawareofthedefendants , involvementwithdrugspriortohisarrest;shefurtheradmittedthatshemightnotbeawareofall  ofhisactivities.    Thedefendantemphasizedthefactthathedidnothaveanynewconvictionssincehis t arrestonthecurrentcharges.Thedefendantfurtherassertedthathewasthe smallestofstreet Z dealersandwasnotadruguser.Moreover,thedefendantpointedoutthathehadneverbeen @ convictedofafelonyuntilthepresentconvictionsandthatnoneofhispriorconvictionswerefor &v violentcrimes.Finally,thedefendantaverredthatbecauseofthepositiveenvironmentinwhich  \ helived,hewasagoodcandidateforrehabilitation.
