L    Trialcounselsaidshewas,nevertheless,concernedaboutcallingMyersasawitnessdueto $  thecloseproximitybetweenthegasstationandthecrimescene.Shetestifiedthataweekortwo   beforetrial,sheagaindiscussedMyerspotentialtestimonywiththepetitioner,andheindicatedhe   wasnotcertainhewantedMyerscalledasawitnessbecausehistestimonymightnotbehelpful.The   petitionertestifiedattrialthatamannamed Mikegavehimarideandlefthimatthegasstation.
