Inhisbriefonappeal,thepetitionercontendsthatthetrialcourtshouldhavetreatedthepetitionasoneforpostconvictionrelief.SeeT.C.A.4030205(c).Thiscontentioniswithoutmerit.Apetitionforpostconvictionreliefmustbefiledwiththecourtinwhichtheconvictionoccurred.T.C.A.4030204(a).JudgmentinthiscasewasrenderedinShelbyCounty,however,thispetitionwasfiledinLakeCounty.Furthermore,judgmentinthiscasebecamefinalonApril29,1996,andthispetitionwasfiledonMarch9,1998.Accordingly,thestatuteoflimitationsforfilingapetitionforpostconvictionreliefhadexpired.T.C.A.4030202(a).Thepetitionersclaimthatthestatutedidnotbegintorununtilhewasdeniedreleaseonparoleiswithoutmerit.SeeCoxv.State,No.02C019508CR00221(Tenn.Crim.App.,May,30,1997).
