I.FACTUALBACKGROUND   OnJune10,1995,Appellantpleadedguiltytofourcountsofthesaleofcocaineunder.5gramsandtwocountsofpossessionofcocaine.ThepleaincludedAppellantsagreementtoserveasixyearsentenceforeachofthefirstfourcountsandan11month,29daysentencefortheothertwocounts.Accordingtothepleadings,thepartiesagreedthattheAppellantcouldseektohavethesentencesuspended;theyalsoleftthedeterminationofwhetherthesentencesshouldbeservedconsecutivelytothetrialcourtsdiscretion.ThepartiesfurtheragreedthatAppellantwouldbesentencedasastandardoffender. AsentencinghearingwasheldonAugust14,1995.Afterhearingprooffromseveralwitnesses,includingAppellant,thetrialcourtimposedconcurrentsentences.ThetrialcourtalsopartiallysuspendedAppellantssentence,orderinghertoserveoneyearofhersentenceinprisonandorderingthatuponreleasesheistobeonprobationforsixyears.  II.APPELLANTSSTATUSASASTANDARDOFFENDER   Appellantcontendsthatthetrialcourterredinfailingtosentenceherasanespeciallymitigatedoffender.Asapartofthepleabargainingprocess,Appellantagreedtoboththelengthofhersentencesandalsotobeingsentencedasastandardoffender.Accordingly,thisissueiswithoutmerit.SeeStatev.Mahler,735S.W.2d226,228(Tenn.1987).  III.ALTERNATIVESENTENCING   Appellantcomplainsthatshedidnotreceivefullsuspensionofhersentenceandprobationfortheentirelengthofhersentence.ProbationisamatterentrustedtothediscretionofthetrialjudgeandAppellantbearstheburdenonappealofshowingthatthesentenceshereceivedisinappropriate.Statev.Bingham,910S.W.2d448,456(Tenn.Crim.App.1995). Tenn.CodeAnn.4035102(5)providesinpertinentpartthat convictedfelonscommittingthemostsevereoffenses,possessingcriminalhistoriesevincingacleardisregardforthelawsandmoralsofsociety,andevincingfailureofpasteffortsofrehabilitationshallbegivenfirstpriorityregardingsentencinginvolvingincarceration. AdefendantwhodoesnotfallintothecategorysetforthinSection4035102(5)andwhoisanespeciallymitigatedorstandardoffenderofaClassC,D,orEfelonyis presumedtobeafavorablecandidateforalternativesentencingoptionsintheabsenceofevidencetothecontrary.Id.4035102(6);Statev.Ashby,823S.W.2d166,169(Tenn.1991).Thissimplymeansthatthetrialjudgemustpresumesuchadefendanttobeafavorablecandidateforasentencewhichdoesnotinvolveincarceration.Byrd,861S.W.2dat37980.Thispresumptionishoweverrebuttableandincarcerationmaybeorderedifthecourtispresentedwithevidencewhichestablishes  (A)  8 Confinementisnecessarytoprotectsocietybyrestrainingadefendantwhohasalonghistoryofcriminalconduct;  (B)  8 Confinementisnecessarytoavoiddepreciatingtheseriousnessoftheoffenseorconfinementisparticularlysuitedorprovideaneffectivedeterrencetootherslikelytocommitsimilaroffenses;or  (C)  8 Measureslessrestrictivethanconfinementhavefrequentlyorrecentlybeenappliedunsuccessfullytothedefendant.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035103(1);Ashby,823S.W.2dat169. ThisCourthasrecognizedforsometimethatoneormoreofthefactorsinSection4035103(1)which,ifproperlyestablished,rebutthepresumptionofentitlementtoanonincarcerativesentenceandjustifytheimpositionofconfinement,mayalsoservetojustifythedenialoffullprobation.See,e.g.,Bingham,910S.W.2dat456,Statev.Chrisman,885S.W.2d834,840(Tenn.Crim.App.1995);Statev.Fletcher,805S.W.2d785,789(Tenn.Crim.App.1991)(recognizing4035103(1)(B)ascodificationofprinciplethatnatureandcircumstancesofoffenseandneedfordeterrencemayjustifydenialofprobation).Afortiori,adiscretionarydenialofprobationmaybejustifiedonthebasisthattheevidenceshowsthatdefendantfallsintothecategoryoffelonsdescribedatSection4035102(5)asbeingthemostdeservingofasentenceinvolvingincarceration.Seee.g.,Chrisman,885S.W.2dat840.Therefore,inreviewingadenialofprobationonappeal,whentherecorddemonstratesthatthedefendantmaynotclaimthepresumptionofentitlementtoanonincarcerativesentence,orthatthepresumptionhasbeenrebutted,thisCourtwillsustainthetrialcourtsdiscretionarydenialofprobationifthereisanyevidencetosupportthatdetermination. Appellantwasconvictedoffour(4)ClassCfelonies,andtheStateconcedesthatAppellantispresumptivelyentitledtoasentencewhichdoesnotinvolveincarceration.However,theStatearguesthatthepresumptionhasbeenrebuttedthroughthetrialcourtsfindingsthatsomeincarcerationwasnecessarytoavoiddepreciatingtheseriousnessoftheoffense. ThisCourthasheldthatinordertoovercomethepresumptionofentitlementtoanonincarcerativesentencebasedontheneedtoavoiddepreciatingtheseriousnessoftheoffense, thecircumstancesoftheoffenseascommittedmustbeespeciallyviolent,horrifying,shocking,reprehensible,offensiveorotherwiseofanexcessiveorexaggerateddegree,andthenatureoftheoffensemustoutweighallfactorsfavoringasentenceotherthatconfinement.Bingham,910S.W.2dat454(quotingStatev.Hartley,818S.W.2d370,37475(Tenn.Crim.App.1991).
