Ðof€his€wifeððs€jewelry€to€raise€cash€for€buying€cocaine.€€At€the€time€of€the€sentencing€hearing,€theÐ À  Ðdefendant€was€not€employed€and€was€approximately€$5,000€in€arrears€in€child€support€payments.€Ð ¬ü  ÐÌà  àà ` àThe€defendant€testified€at€the€sentencing€hearing€that€he€became€ð ðstressed€outðð€afterÐ „Ô  Ðworking€for€several€years€in€the€plumbing€supply€business€and€began€drinking€alcohol€and€takingÐ pÀ Ðdrugs.€€He€maintained,€however,€that€he€was€not€under€the€influence€of€alcohol€or€drugs€on€theÐ \¬ Ðafternoon€that€Austin€was€injured.€€Ð H˜ ÐÌà  àà ` ä4 ÐAustinððs€injuries€and€denied€that€he€had€assaulted€Austin€in€any€way.€€When€asked€why€he€had€notÐ Ð  Ðpreviously€given€this€account€of€the€injury,€the€defendant€said€he€was€scared.Ð ¼  ÐÌà  àà `
