Inthetrialcourt,theStatedidnotrequestthecourttoincreaseDefendantssentence,whichthetrialcourtwasentitledtodouponafullsentencinghearingafterconsideringenhancementandmitigatingfactors.Instead,theAssistantDistrictAttorneyGeneralsuccinctlysetforthherrequestasfollows: TheStatespositionisjustgoaheadandviolatehim.IlikethewaytheJudgedoesinthesesituations,youknow,maybeputhiminCountyJailforaboutayearandputhimbackonCommunityCorrectionsandseewhathewilldo.  Onappeal,theStatedidnotsubmitinaseparateissuethatthetrialcourterredbyfailingtoincreaseDefendantssentence.ItiscorrectthattheStatedoesnotneedtofileaseparatenoticeofappealinordertoraiseasentencingissuewhentheDefendanthasappealedtothiscourt.Statev.Russell,800S.W.2d169,17072(Tenn.1990).However,underapplicableappellaterules,theStatemuststillspecifyanissueforappellatereview,submitsupportingargument,andidentifyappropriaterelief.Statev.Hayes,894S.W.2d298,300(Tenn.Crim.App.1994).  ThetrialcourtcouldhaveconsideredanincreaseintheDefendantssentence,butdeclinedtodoso.TheStatedidnoturgeinthetrialcourtorinthiscourtthatthesentenceshouldbeincreased.Mentionedinthisrecord,andconcededtobytheDefendant,isthefactthatheisnotentitledtocreditfortimeinwhichhemayhavebeeninan abscondedstatuswhilesentencedtotheCommunityCorrectionsProgram.IagreethatthelanguageofTennesseeCodeAnnotatedsection4036106(e)(4)supportsthepropositionthatDefendantisnotentitledtocreditfortimeperiodsinwhichhewasinan abscondedstatusfromtheCommunityCorrectionsProgram.  SincetheissueofwhetherornottoincreaseDefendantssentencewasnotaddressedonappeal,IamoftheopinionthatthiscaseshouldberemandedtothetrialcourtforanewhearinglimitedtothesolepurposeofdeterminingtheamountofcredittowhichDefendantisentitledbystatutefortimeactuallyservedintheCommunityCorrectionsProgram.     ____________________________________     THOMAST.WOODALL,Judge
