TheDefendanturgesustofindthetestimonyofA.M.andhismothernotcredible.Hestates -} inhisbriefthat itseemsirrationalandincrediblethat[thevictim]wouldcontinuallygotothetrailer i aftertheabuseinitiallystartedinAugustof1999.TheDefendantfurtherstatesinhisbrief, Even U moreincrediblewas[A.M.smothers]testimonyconcerningappellantsallegedstatementtoher A thathehadsucked[A.M.s]penis.Theappellantadamantlydeniedtheaccusations,anditdoesnot - standtoreasonthatafterconfronting[her]abouttheallegations,hewouldthentellthechildsown  motherthathehadcommittedsuchanact. A.M.smothertestifiedthatA.M.sgradeshavesufferedasaresultoftherapes.ShedescribedA.M.  as depressedandafraid.A.M.seesatherapistonceaweekandtakesPaxilforhisdepression. t Furthermore,hismothertestifiedthatA.M.stillhasbaddreamsand throwsup.Thetrialjudge ` stated, Itsverycleartomethatthischildisinforalong,longperiodofrehabilitationbecauseof L  [theDefendants]acts.ThetrialcourtalsoconsideredtherelationshipbetweentheDefendantand 8  thevictimwhendecidingtoorderconsecutivesentences.Thecourtcharacterizedtherelationship $ t as neighborly,butwenotethattheDefendantisactuallyA.M.sfirstcousin,onceremoved.The  ` trialcourtgaveconsiderationto thewaythatthedefendantcarriedouttheseparticularcrimes,by  L  endearinghimselftothefamilyandholdinghimselfouttobeclosetothe[victim]andtothefamily.  8  ThecourtthenorderedthatthreeoftheDefendantsfourtwentyyearsentencesrunconsecutively. $    Obviously,ourlawrecognizesthatrapeofachildisamostseriousoffense.Ourlegislature   hasclassifiedrapeofachildasaClassAfelony.SeeTenn.CodeAnn.3913522(b).Achild   rapistmustservetheentiresentence"onehundredpercent"undiminishedbyanysentence   reductioncredits.SeeTenn.CodeAnn.3913523(b).EventhoughtheconductoftheDefendant p wasreprehensible,andwhilenotdiscountingtheseriousnessofcrimesofthisnature,webelievethe \ circumstancesinthiscasemilitateagainsttheapplicationofTennesseeCodeAnnotatedsection40 H 35115(b)(5).Therewasnosignificanttimespanofundetectedsexualactivityandthenatureofthe 4 criminalconductwasnotaggravatedbeyondwhatisinherentinsexcrimescommittedagainst  p children.  *#  4      ׀WenotethatthisCourthasheldthatconsecutivesentencingwasunsupportedbythe  \ evidencewheretheillegalsexualconductoccurredoveratwomonthperiodandthedefendantwas H thevictimsfather.SeeStatev.Hayes,899S.W.2d175,187(Tenn.Crim.App.1995). 4   WehavenotdisregardedthetraumasufferedbyA.M.,butgivenallthecircumstances   presentedinthiscase,concurrentsentencesoftwentyyearsforthechildrapeconvictionsare  appropriateinrelationtotheseverityoftheoffensesandaretheleastseveremeasuresnecessaryto  deterthedefendantsfuturecriminalconduct,toprotectsociety,andtodeterotherswhoaresimilarly  situatedandmaybelikelytocommitsimilaroffenses.SeeTenn.CodeAnn.4035102and103. l   Therefore,wemodifythesentencestoreflectthattheybeservedconcurrently,andremand D! tothetrialcourtforentryofanorderconsistentwiththisopinion.Inallotherrespects,thejudgment 0"  isaffirmed. #l!    `     h     ___________________________________ &"%    `     h     DAVIDH.WELLES,JUDGE
