Followingourreviewoftherecord,weaffirmthetrialcourt.@vv! SENTENCINGHEARING  4    Atthesentencinghearing,thestatepresentedtestimonyfromthemothersoftwo   ofthevictims.Thedefensepresentedthetestimonyoffivewitnesses,includingthedefendantsmother,whowereallcharacterwitnessesforthedefendant.Thedefendantalsotestified.  Themotherofeachvictimtestifiedindetailastotheadverseeffectsofthedefendantsconductonherchild.Onevictimhascerebralpalsyandwalkswithcrutches.Anothervictimhasan attentiondeficitandisinaclassfortheemotionallydisturbed.Onevictimwaseightyearsoldwhenvictimizedandtheotherwassevenyearsoldwhenvictimized.Bothparentsexpressed,innouncertainterms,theiropinionsthatthedefendantshouldgotojail.  Thewitnessesforthedefendantallessentiallyagreedthatthedefendantisarespectableyoungmanwithagoodreputationwhoisinvolvedextensivelyinchurchandchurchrelatedactivities.Thedefendanthasnocriminalrecordwhatsoever.Thedefendantdeniedanyinvolvementinthecriminalactivitytowhichheplednolocontendre.Herecentlygraduatedfromhighschoolandwouldliketoattendcollege.Thedefendantpresentedseveralcertificatesandawardsthathehadreceivedforchurchrelatedactivities. :6< Healsoexpressedhiswillingnesstocomplywithanyconditionsofprobationthatmightbesetbythecourt.@# LEGALANALYSIS  d    Whenthedefendantchallengesthemannerofservingasentence,itisthedutyof  < thisCourttoconductadenovoreviewoftherecordwithapresumptionthatthetrialcourts    determinationsarecorrect.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035401(d).The presumptionofcorrectnesswhichaccompaniesthetrialcourtsactionisconditionedupontheaffirmativeshowingintherecordthatthetrialcourtconsideredthesentencingprinciplesandallrelevantfactsandcircumstances.Statev.Ashby,823S.W.2d166,169(Tenn.1991). 8   Initsreview,thisCourtmustconsiderthefollowing:theevidence,ifany,receivedattrialandsentencinghearing,informationcontainedinthepresentencereport,thestatutoryprinciplesofsentencing,counselsargumentsastosentencingalternatives,thenatureandcharacteristicsofthecriminalconduct,mitigatingandstatutoryenhancementfactors,anystatementthatthedefendantmadeonhisownbehalf,andthepotentialforrehabilitationortreatment.Ashby,823S.W.2d166,168169(Tenn.1991).    Inacasewherethedefendantseeksprobation,theCourtmustconsider theaccusedscriminalrecord,socialhistory,presentphysicalandmentalcondition,thecircumstancesoftheoffense,thedeterrenteffectuponcriminalactivityoftheaccusedaswellasothers,andtheaccusedspotentialforrehabilitationandtreatment.Statev. &0"& Parker,932S.W.2d,945,959(Tenn.Crim.App.1996).ThisCourthaspreviously (#( determinedthatanegativefindingofanyoneofthesefactorsissufficienttosupportadenialofprobation.Statev.WilliamBell,No.02C019608CR00275(Tenn.Crim.App. D,', July18,1997).  Intheinstantcase,thetrialcourtheardthetestimonyofthemothersoftwovictims,thedefendant,thedefendantsmother,andseveralcharacterwitnessesforthedefendant.Thetrialcourtalsoreviewedthepresentencereportandheardargumentbycounsel.Afteraconcisediscussionofenhancingandmitigatingfactors,theCourtsentencedthedefendanttotheminimumsentenceforeachoffense,torunconcurrently.Itisclearfromtherecordthatthetrialcourtconsideredthelawandevidencebeforeitandconcludedthatitwasappropriatetodenyprobationinthiscase.Thetrialcourtconcludedthat: :5< ` ` TheCourtdeniesanypetitionforrelieforforalternativesentencingorsuspension.TheCourthasdonesoonthesolefactor,andonlyfactor,thatconfinementisnecessarytoavoiddepreciatingtheseriousnessoftheoffense.` `   T.C.A.4035103(1)provides:` ` Sentencesinvolvingconfinementshouldbebasedonthefollowingconsiderations:...(B)confinementisnecessarytoavoiddepreciatingtheseriousnessoftheoffenseorconfinementisparticularlysuitedtoprovideaneffectivedeterrencetootherslikelytocommitsimilaroffenses;...` ` Ӝ   ` AdenialofalternativesentencingwhenbaseduponTennesseeCodeAnnotatedsection4035103(1)(B)mustbepredicateduponafindingthatthenatureandcircumstancesoftheoffenseare especiallyviolent,horrifying,shocking,reprehensible,offensive,orotherwiseofanexcessiveorexaggerateddegreeandthatthenatureoftheoffense outweighedallotherfactors...whichmightbefavorabletoagrantofprobation.Statev.Travis,622S.W.2d529,534(Tenn.1981);seealsoStatev.Hartley,818S.W.2d &v 370,374(Tenn.Crim.App.1991).AlthoughthetrialcourtdidnotrepeatanyoftheTravis B Hartleyadjectivesindeterminingthatconfinementwasnecessarytoavoiddepreciating of   theseriousnessoftheoffense,itisclearfromtherecordthatthenatureofthesesexualoffensescommittedagainstchildvictimswhowereimpairedwasexaggeratedinseriousness.Uponourdenovoreviewoftherecord,wefindthatthenatureofthese "$r# offenseswasespeciallyshocking,reprehensible,andoffensive,andsupportsthedenialofalternativesentencingingeneralandprobationinparticular.
