TheDefendantnowcontendsonpostconvictionthatbothhispleaandhissentenceare t unconstitutional.Atthepostconvictionhearing,theDefendantcomplainedthat,athissentencing ` hearing, theytriedtopaintapictureofmeasamajordrugdealerinBristol,whichisnotso.They L  triedtodoalotofthingsthat[mylawyer]wouldntevenletmesaynothingaboutthatwassaid 8  ...andhedidnttrytodefendmeagainstthem,himself.Hetestifiedthathislawyertoldhimthat $ t hewould probablygeteightyearsofprobationforhisoffenses.Heclaimedthathislawyertold  ` himthat,atworst,hewouldgotoprisonfortwoyearsandthenspendeightyearsonprobation.He  L  admittedthatMr.Taylormighthavediscussedthepossibilityofconsecutivesentences,buttestified,  8   hadhetoldmethatIwaslookingattwentyyears,Iwouldhavetoldhimtogotocourtwithit. $    TheDefendantslawyer,Mr.CaryTaylor,alsotestifiedatthepostconvictionhearing.Mr.   TaylorstatedthathetoldtheDefendant atleastadozentimesthathewouldnotbeeligiblefor   probationifthejudgesentencedhimtomorethaneightyears.Mr.Taylorrepeatedlytoldthe   Defendantthathiscrimescarriedasentencingrangeofeighttotwelveyearseach,andtestifiedthat p he nevertoldtheDefendantthathewouldgeteightyears.HeadvisedtheDefendantthatthe \ sentencewasuptothejudge.HefurtheradvisedtheDefendantthat,theoretically,thejudgecould H sentencehimtoatermof120years.Mr.TayloralsotestifiedthattheDefendantneverstatedthat 4 hewantedtotestifybut,tothecontrary,didnotwanttotestifyathissentencinghearing.  p   SandraWorley,theDefendantswife,alsotestifiedatthepostconvictionhearing.She H acknowledgedthatMr.TaylorhadtoldthemthattheDefendantmightreceivemorethaneightyears 4 andmightbeorderedtoservehissentenceinprison.
