Reviewofthefindingsoffactmadebythetrialcourtisdenovoupontherecordofthetrialcourt,accompaniedbyapresumptionofthecorrectnessofthefindings,unlessthepreponderanceoftheevidenceisotherwise.Tenn.CodeAnn.506225(e)(2);Stonev.CityofMcMinnville,896S.W.2d548,550(Tenn.1995).TheapplicationofthisstandardrequiresthisCourttoweighinmoredepththefactualfindingsandconclusionsofthetrialcourtinaworkerscompensationcase.SeeCorcoranv.FosterAutoGMC,Inc.,746S.W.2d452,456(Tenn.1988). Thetrialjudgefoundtheplaintiffwas100percentdisabledandawardedjudgmentfor400weeksat$355.97perweek.ThetrialjudgefixedthetimefortemporarydisabilityfromNovember1,1994throughMarch2,1995,plusheawardedanadditionaleightweeksoftemporarytotaldisabilitybeyondthisperiod. Thedefendantsaysthetrialcourterredinawarding100percenttemporarytotaldisabilityandinfixingthetimeoftemporarydisability. Theplaintiffis47yearsoldwithahighschooleducation.HisemploymenthistoryincludesworkingforMcDonaldsasanightmanagerafterhighschoolandworkingparttimeforhisbrotherasacarpenter.Theplaintiffhasworkedmostofhisadultlifeasatruckdriver. OnAugust22,1993,theplaintiffwasinvolvedinasinglevehicletractortrailertruckaccidentinwhichhistruckfell230feetdownthesideofMonteagleMountainandburned.Heescapedandclimbedbackuptotheroad,wherehewasfoundunconscious.Theemergencyroomexaminationshowedashoulderinjury,possibleclosedheadinjury,andaheadache.Theplaintiffwashospitalized. Theplaintifftestifiedhehadseizuresathomeaftertheaccident.Acoworker,WalterH.Zorn,testifiedhevisitedtheplaintiffathomeandsawhimhaveaseizure.Anothercoworker,ElroyBailey,testifiedhesawamarkedchangeintheplaintiffaftertheinjury,suchasheadaches,noenergy,anda spiritbroken. Thedefendantcannolongerhiretheplaintiffbecauseheisrestrictedagainstdriving.Theplaintiffattemptedtoworkbycontractingtoremodeltwohomes,butthejobswerenevercompleted.Theplaintiffandhisbrother,whoownsaconstructioncompany,testifiedhecannotdothework.   Dr.BruceKaplan,aneurologistandthetreatingphysician,sawtheplaintiff17times.Dr.Kaplansinitialimpressionwasconcussivevascularheadaches.Inordertoruleoutseizuredisorder,CATscansweredoneonAugust22and30,1993.TheresultsfromtheseCATscanswerenormal.TheplaintiffreportedlossofconsciousnessonDecember14,1993.Dr.KaplanprescribedDilantintocontrolseizureactivity.OnOctober12,1994,Dr.Kaplanassessedazeropercentpermanentpartialdisabilityforbraininjury. TheplaintiffreportedanotherseizureinNovember1994.OnFebruary17,1995,anotherEEGshowedabnormalbifrontalspikes.CurrentmedicationsusedbytheplaintiffareDilantin,Prozac,Ambien,Midrin,Imitrex,andNaproxen.OnMarch2,1995,Dr.Kaplanresettheamountofpermanentpartialdisabilityat29percenttothebodyasawholebasedupontheabnormalEEG.Dr.Kaplanopinedtheplaintiffcouldnotcontinuetodrivetrucksnordosomeconstructionwork,suchasworkingonroofs.   Dr.RobertJ.Barthisaneuropsychologistwhoadministeredatleast14teststotheplaintiffatDr.Kaplansrequest.Dr.Barthfoundsomesignsofexaggerationofsymptomsormalingering(later,thisopinionwaschangedto merelyplacingtoomuchemphasisonhisdifficulties).Therewerenodemonstratedjudgmentdifficulties;therewasnodeclineingrooming,whichwouldbeexpectedwithaneurologicalinjury;andtherewasnosignificantneurologicaldeterioration.Theplaintiffshowedintellectualpotentialoflowaveragetoaverage,whichisprobablythesameaspriortotheaccidentsincetheplaintifftookspecialeducationclassesinschool.Dr.Barthopinedtheplaintiffhadnosignificantdisabilityfrompotentialbraininjury.  Dr.CharlesP.Hughes,thedefendantsindependentmedicalexaminer,diagnosedtheplaintiffwithmildpostconcussiveheadaches,whichwereessentiallyresolved,withpossibleseizures.Dr.Hughesassessedaninepercentpermanentpartialdisabilityforheadachesandazeropercentpermanentpartialdisabilityforpossibleseizures.Dr.Hughesplacednophysicallimitationsontheplaintiffsactivities,buthedeferredtoDr.Kaplanontheissueofwhethertheplaintiffshoulddriveatruck.01 Ontheissueofwhethertheevidencesupportsthejudgmentofthetrialcourt,theanswerlieswithinthetestimonyofDr.Kaplan,whofixedtheplaintiffsmedicalimpairmentat29percent,andthetestimonyofDr.Hughes,whofixedtheplaintiffsmedicalimpairmentatninepercent. Thetrialjudgemayacceptthemedicalopinionsofoneexpertwitnessoverotherswhotestifyinacase.Kellermanv.FoodLion,Inc.,929S.W.2d333,335(Tenn.1996).ThetrialjudgeacceptedthetestimonyofDr.Kaplan,thetreatingphysician,overthetestimonyofDr.Hughes,thedefendantsevaluatingphysician. Therecordshows,andthetrialjudgefound,thatDr.Hugheswasmistakenastothefactsoftheaccidentandthesymptomsexhibitedbytheplaintiff.Baseduponthis,thetrialjudgefoundthetestimonyofDr.Hugheswasnotentitledtogreatweight. ThedisputeoverthetimewhentheplaintiffreachedmaximummedicalrecoveryarisesoutofaletterfromDr.KaplanwhichhadfixedthedateatNovember18,1994.Dr.KaplantestifiedsubsequentlythattheNovemberdatewasinerrorandthattheplaintiffreachedmaximummedicalimprovementonMarch2,1995. Wefindtheevidencedoesnotpreponderateagainstthefindingsofthetrialjudgeandweaffirmthejudgmentofthetrialcourt.
