Beforeshebeganworkingfortheemployer,PrintingIndustryAssociationoftheSouth,theemployeeorclaimant,Vance,workedasanursetechnicianforBaptistHospitalinNashvilleuntilshesufferedabackinjuryforwhichshereceivedaworkers'compensationawardbasedonfiftypercenttothebodyasawhole.ShebeganworkingforthepresentemployeronMay23,1995,doingbinderyworkrequiringrepetitiveuseofthehands.  OnSeptember1,1995,whileattemptingtoliftacartonoftapes,shefeltasuddenpaininhershoulderandneck,butfinishedhershift.Shesoughtmedicalcarethenextdaywhenthepainworsenedandherhandsswelled.Shewasdiagnosedwithbilateralcarpaltunnelsyndromewhichwassurgicallytreated.  Theoperatingsurgeondidnottestify,butareportfromhimreflectedthatheadvisedtheclaimantshewouldnevercompletelyrecoverfromthecondition.TwoexaminingphysiciansconfirmedtheinjurywascausallyconnectedtotheaccidentofSeptember1,1995atwork.Oneofthemassessedherpermanentmedicalimpairmentattenpercenttobotharms.  Thechancellorfoundtheclaimant'sinjurycompensableandawardedpermanentpartialdisabilitybenefitsbasedontwentyeightpercenttobotharms.Appellatereviewisdenovoupontherecordofthetrialcourt,accompaniedbyapresumptionofcorrectnessofthefindingsoffact,unlessthepreponderanceoftheevidenceisotherwise.Tenn.CodeAnn.section506225(e)(2).  Anaccidentalinjuryarisesoutofone'semploymentwhenthereisapparenttotherationalmind,uponaconsiderationofallthecircumstances,acausalconnectionbetweentheconditionsunderwhichtheworkisrequiredtobeperformedandtheresultinginjury.Finkv.Caudle,856S.W.2d952(Tenn.1993).Theevidencefailstopreponderateagainstthechancellor'sfindingthattheclaimant'sinjurywasonearisingoutofheremploymentwiththedefendant.  Oncethecausationandpermanencyofaninjuryhavebeenestablishedbyexperttestimony,thetrialjudgemayconsidermanypertinentfactors,includingage,jobskills,education,training,durationofdisabilityandjobopportunitiesforthedisabled,inadditiontoanatomicalimpairment,forthepurposeofevaluatingtheextentofaclaimant'spermanentdisability.Tenn.CodeAnn.section506241(a)(2).Theevidencefailstopreponderateagainstthechancellor'sfindingthattheclaimantwillretainapermanentpartialdisabilityoftwentyeightpercenttobotharms.
