• Financial Assistance: You can make financial contributions to help those in need through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
• Contribute to the Red Cross. The Red Cross opened more than 25 shelters that served more than 2,000 individuals. It also has delivered more than 26,000 meals and snacks and more than 2,000 comfort kits. Help support these efforts which may reach $5 million. Donate online now or donate by text "REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

• Help for Volunteers: A Disaster Assistance Manual for attorneys providing volunteer assistance to victims of flooding in the Nashville area or other disasters is available now from the Tennessee Bar Association.
• Free training for lawyers providing legal services to flood victims. Take part in a one-hour free web cast that will provide an overview of disaster legal services in Tennessee and equip volunteer lawyers to handle disaster-related pro bono cases. Using the YLD-produced Disaster Assistance Manual as a guide, the presenters will identify the types of legal issues that most frequently arise after a natural disaster, and highlight the resources available for lawyers who volunteer to help disaster victims.
• More resources for lawyers offering aid. The Disability Law and Advocacy Center has prepared this guide to help lawyers dealing with flood victims.
A group of lawyers at Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella have created a blog to
provide information to flood victims. Topics include recovering lost
documents (such as car titles and deeds), flood insurance and grants and
loans to rebuild.
The Nashville office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings also has put together a
Q&A to help victims deal with the flood's aftermath.

•FEMA Assistance. Residents and business owners who sustained losses can bapply for assistance immediately. Visit the FEMA web site to learn how, locate resource centers and find additional resources, or call 800-621-FEMA (3362) to learn more.
• FEMA has established a number of Disaster Recovery Centers across Tennessee, including sites in Davidson, Cheatam, Williamson,
Dyer, Shelby and Hickman counties.
• Legal Assistance: Contact the Tennessee Disaster Legal Services Hotline at
(888) 395-9297 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. central time Monday through Friday.
Messages can be left at any time. Victims who qualify for assistance will be
matched with Tennessee lawyers who have volunteered to provide free legal
help.

damaged documents, paper and cardboard on Wednesday, May 5, and Thursday,
May 6, for any business in Nashville’s downtown, Metro Center or Hillsboro
