LONG RANGE PLANNING
COMMITTEE
This committee is responsible for developing and
amending the division's long range plan, which sets out the goals and
objectives for the YLD for the next five years. The committee is
chaired by the YLD Vice President.

Mary Beth Haltom, reporter (term expires June 30, 2010); Middle Tennessee
Members: Marisa Combs and Jason Pannu (terms expire June 30, 2010);

MEMBERSHIP & LAW SCHOOL OUTREACH COMMITTEE
This committee is charged
with encouraging growth and participation in the Tennessee Bar
Association Young Lawyers Division. The committee's objectives
include recruiting eligible Tennessee young lawyers as TBA members
and encouraging current members to participate in TBA YLD
functions. The committee also seeks to foster and develop
relationships between the YLD and law school students who are
interested in practicing in Tennessee. The committee
sponsors events at each of the state's four law schools.

PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE
Traditionally, this committee produced educational
publications, including Basic Legal Resources, a guide to the law for
social service agencies. The committee now focuses on internal
communications products designed to keep the YLD membership informed
of on-going projects and up-coming news. Regular publications include
E-DICT, a monthly email newsletter, and the Tennessee Young Lawyer, a
quarterly print publication that includes practice and law review
articles of interest to young lawyers.
