Memphis lawyer Clinton Ray Pearson, 96, died Monday (Feb. 18). A native of Mississippi, Pearson came to Memphis to attend the University of Memphis School of Law. He was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 1941 and became a certified public accountant in 1947. His career included serving as managing partner of Touche Ross & Co., financial consultant at the National Bank of Commerce Trust & Asset Management and in private law practice from 2005 to 2012. A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Second Presbyterian Church Chapel in Memphis. Visitation will follow.
