Knoxville attorney and Navy veteran Terry Adams yesterday announced his intention to seek the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate, reports. If successful, he will face the winner of the Republican primary, which pits incumbent Sen. Lamar Alexander against state Rep. Joe Carr. Adams earned his law degree from the University of Memphis and is founder and managing attorney of Adams Law Firm and Admiral Title. He is backed by Bob Tuke – former chair of the Tennessee Democratic Party and the last Democrat to run against Alexander – who will serve as campaign treasurer.
