Be sure to join the TBA Administrative Law Section at their November 22, 2013 CLE:  "Administrative Law: The UAPA, Contested Cases, and Non-UAPA Proceedings: Compare and Contrast."This informative 3-hour CLE will be presented at the Tennessee Bar Center in Nashville.

Lawyers who engage in any practice before government agencies understand that there is more than one way to be heard. Agencies conduct contested case proceedings pursuant to the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, but there are also several agencies, crucial to the workings of government, that have hearing processes that are exempt from the requirement of the UAPA.?This program will highlight:

??• The new procurement process and its non-UAPA appeal process

?• Ethical considerations of practicing before agencies in non-UAPA settings and circumstances

?• Litigating before state agencies in UAPA proceedings

Produced by Christy Allen of the State of Tennessee Treasury Department, this program will also include presentations from Paul Krivacka of the Central Procurement Office for the State of Tennessee, Tom Lee of Frost Brown Todd LLC, and Commissioner Robert Martineau Jr. of the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation.
