Nashville Mayor Megan Barry appeared in Davidson County court today and pleaded guilty to felony theft charges related to her affair with her head of security, WKRN reports. Barry resigned as mayor of Nashville, having served less than three years of her term. She will receive three years of unsuspended probation. She will have to pay $11,000 in restitution to the city per the conditions of her plea agreement. Rob Forrest, the bodyguard whom Barry conducted an affair with, also pleaded guilty today, and must pay $45,000 back to the city as conditions of his agreement. Metro District Attorney Glenn Funk asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to close its probe into Barry's affair following her resignation and plea deal, the Nashville Business Journal reports.
