The Diversity Leadership Institute (DLI) students met for their first session in March. An extra day was added to compensate for the January session being cancelled due to the weather. The students participated in discussions and activities about leadership, diversity, the legal profession and the book Rebooting Justice. They had the opportunity to listen to a keynote address by TBA Executive Director, Joycelyn Stevenson, mingled with attorneys from across the state, and attended a reception hosted by Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP. They served as bailiffs during the high school mock trial championships and served as intake volunteers at the Expungement Clinic. Plans are underway for the next and final session in Memphis during the TBA Annual Convention.
