Williamson County District Attorney Kim Helper is warning House District 61 candidates about laws that apply to campaign advertising, the Tennessean reports. "This office has received complaints from 'attack ads,' popping up on social media with allegations that these 'ads' contain misleading or false information about candidates seeking this house seat,” she wrote to the candidates. “Those 'ads' do not include a disclaimer as may be required by the Tennessee Code Annotated.”
