The Association for Woman Attorneys (AWA) has some exciting events coming up.  First, on Sept. 12 the AWA will be hosting a membership happy hour titled "Wine-Down Wednesday." This event will be from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Grove Grill, 4550 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38117.  Next, the AWA is hosting a "Women in Law & Leadership Conference" on Sept. 28 at the University of Memphis Law School in Wade Auditorium.  Speakers include Justice Holly Kirby, Heather Joy Hubbard, Sally Pace and more. Join the AWA for a day of CLEs on business development, leadership, women's issues in employment, and more. Full or partial day rates are available. Then, on Oct. 6 the AWA is helping sponsor the 35th Annual Race Judicata - Run for Justice, benefiting the Memphis Bar Association's Access to Justice program. Tickets are $25 for 5K runners who register before the race (which includes a bib, tech t-shirt, two beers, food and a raffle entry) or $30 for 5K runners who register the day of. Tickets for spirit runners are also available and are $20. 

Also, the AWA will be hosting a CLE on Human Trafficking on Oct. 10  from 5 - 6 p.m. The event will be held at the University of Memphis Law School in Wade Auditorium, and will include the following speakers: Katherine Anderson from MALS, Tracey Branch from the FBI, and Sandra Ferrell from The Lisieux Community.  Lastly, please save the date for the AWA's annual Judicial Reception on Dec. 4.
