James "Jim" Spray Kidd died Sept. 28 in Fayetteville. He was 89. Kidd graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration and a law degree the same year. He practiced law from August 1951 to August 2018 and had active career in public service, including as circuit court clerk and district attorney general for Bedford, Lincoln, Marshall and Moore counties from 1966 to 1990. Kidd was a member of the TBA Pro Bono Committee, Legal Services of South Central Tennessee and Tennessee Commission for Children and Youth. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church or Gideons International.
