A caregiver was arrested last week after allegedly stealing more than $240,000 worth of jewelry from a resident of the Richland Place Retirement Community in Nashville, WTVF reports. Ida Thomas, an employee of Senior Helpers Inc., allegedly stole 38 pieces of jewelry from the elderly man's room, later pawning the items. Thomas, who had no previous criminal record, was booked into the Davidson County Jail and held on $80,000 bond.
