A group of prominent conservative lawyers have joined together to urge fellow conservatives to speak up in support of bedrock legal norms that they say are being undermined by statements and actions of President Trump, the New York Times reports. George T. Conway III, the husband of Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway, leads the group. “There’s a perception out there that conservative lawyers have essentially sold their souls for judges and regulatory reform,” Conway says. “We just want to be a voice speaking out, and to encourage others to speak out.”
