A Springfield man was sentenced Tuesday to 14 years in federal prison for being the lead conspirer in a $22 million Ponzi scheme that left 17,000 people uninsured, The Nashville Post reports. Bart Posey, who owned American Trade Association and Smart Data Solutions, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release with stipulations and a $200 special assessment fee by U.S. District Judge Aleta Trauger.
