Ride-hailing company Lyft is being sued for mishandling reports of sexual assault, including rape, by its drivers, according to the Tennessean. The suit was filed today in California on behalf of 14 women who say they were sexually assaulted by their drivers in 2018 and 2019. It alleges that Lyft does not take adequate steps in screening drivers before hiring and fails to investigate and remove drivers accused of violence.
