The Tennessee Bar Association has a strong committment to public education and building an awareness of the Rule of Law and Civics in our society. Working with attorneys across the state and a number of partner organizations, the TBA provides these programs.


Video Contest

TBA Video Contest

Middle and high school students are invited to participate in the Tennessee Bar Association's annual video contest. This year, students explored the constitutional right to freedom of communication. Details about the 2013 competition will be available soon. Contact Sarah Hayman for more details.


GAVELS Civics Education Program

A civics education project of the Tennessee Judicial Conference and the TBA, GAVELS offers presentations designed to explain, in everyday language, just how your judicial system works. GAVELS also provides judges and lawyers throughout the state to speak to groups, such as schools, seniors, business and civic clubs.
