For years, the TBA YLD hosted an art and essay contest each May, in conjunction with the national Law Day celebration for students in the state. The contests were designed to give young people the opportunity to express their ideas about living in a society that is governed by the rule of law, and achieve statewide recognition for their work. The theme each year was set by the American Bar Association. The art contest was open to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, while the essay contest was open to students in 9th through 12th grades. Learn more and see past winners.
