The Court Improvement Committee of the Tennessee Joint Task Force on Children’s Justice and Child Sexual Abuse has posted a free training curriculum for Tennessee attorneys to present to social workers and other professionals who occasionally may need to testify in Juvenile Court proceedings.  (https://www.sworps.tennessee.edu/children/index.html) The curriculum is designed to help social workers and other professionals feel more comfortable in the role of a witness and to be more effective in that role.

The curriculum may be modified and/or used by permission, as long as participants are not charged a fee and there is no financial gain to any individual or organization. For permission to use the curriculum, and for the PowerPoint file and Word document files, please contact Rae Anne Seay, Attorney, Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, at 931-455-7000 or rseay@las.org.
