It has been my honor to serve with Tom Stovall this year as co-chair of the TBA Administrative Law Section.  Tom has recently retired from the State but plans to stay active in the work of this section and we are grateful that he will continue serving as co-chair of the section.  Earlier this year we recruited several new members to serve on the section's executive council to help plan section activity.  We wish to thank all of the members of the executive council for their service to this section.

The section is producing an exciting CLE program on November 22 at the Tennessee Bar Center and we hope you will make plans to attend this year's program.  The section chose the topic of, "The UAPA, Contested Cases, and Non-UAPA Proceedings," after surveying the members of this section and hearing that these topics would be of great interest to the members.  Thanks to everyone who participated in the survey—we are committed to providing programming and information that will be of assistance to you in your practice.

Finally, we would like to encourage all of the members of this section to help us recruit members to join the TBA Administrative Law Section.  We continue to serve a small membership, but registrations at our CLE programs tell us that there are many more practitioners out there who should belong to this section.   Please help us spread the word and get more folks involved in this Section.

Again, it is an honor to serve you and I look forward to hearing from you with any recommendations on what this section can do to serve the members.
