Hamblen County Commissioners got an education on how the county’s Recovery Court is helping drug users overcome their addictions and helping the county ease jail crowding. Program Director Barbara Horton on Friday told commissioners that the Recovery Court “currently has a 59 percent retention rate, which is way better than the state average.” The court averages between 15 and 20 participants, the Citizen Tribune Reports.
