A Murfreesboro veteran received much needed help from the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands after his adopted daughter, who suffers from severe mental health problems, was denied a subsidy to assist with her care and the family’s debt began spiraling out of control. The daughter, who has since turned 18, required professional, residential care in a state facility.
