Rutherford County officials this week continued debating designs for a proposed $73 million new judicial building planned to open in 2018 near Murfreesboro’s Public Square, the Daily News Journal reports. Members of the Rutherford County Public Building Authority discussed everything from building a sky bridge to connect the building to an accompanying parking garage, to how many court rooms would be needed to serve the county’s expected growth: 12 for now, a consultant said, with room to add five more before the year 2045.
