Leaders of the Tennessee legal community gathered on Friday for ceremonies re-dedicating Nippert Hall in the Tennessee Bar Center. Part of the ceremony included the unveiling of a portrait of Louis Nippert, the son of Alfred K. Nippert Sr., whose portrait has hung in the hall since the Bar Center was first dedicated some 15 years ago. Alfred K. Nippert Jr., who was joined by a number of family members, spoke to the gathering about his family's long ties to Tennessee and the legal community here. Contributions from the Nippert family were a part of the capital campaign that led to the acquisition and refurbishment of what is now the Tennessee Bar Center.
