A heating and air conditioning unit on the roof of the Franklin County court’s building was responsible for water damage in the Clerk & Master’s office last week, the Herald Chronicle reports. Quick thinking by employees saved the office’s central computer system, which houses delinquent tax records and court docket information. The leak affected the computer’s backup battery and also damaged several ceiling panels and walls in the office.
