The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will consider seven applicants for the 30th Judicial District Chancery Court vacancy created by the death of Oscar C. Carr III. The candidates are: Stephen H. Biller, Frank S. Cantrell, William Allan Cohn, David Eugene Ferguson, Kimbrough Brown Mullins, James Robert Newsom III and William Michael Richards. The council will interview the candidates on June 17 at the Memphis Hilton, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd., beginning at 9 a.m.
