The Tennessee Ethics Commission has forgiven the late filing of required reports in 119 cases involving disclosures required under state law by public officials, candidates, lobbyists and the employers of lobbyists, while voting to impose civil penalties in 24 cases, Knoxnews reports. Among the group avoiding penalties were two district attorneys, four lobbyists and a host of city and county officials.
