American Bar Association YLD – The ABA is currently accepting applications for leadership appointments for the 2016-2017 bar year. Blount County Bar Association YLD – The group typically meets for lunch on the third Tuesday of every month.  For more information about the group contact President Nick Black, (865) 238-0665.
Chattanooga Bar Association YLD – The Chattanooga Bar Association YLD recently had its annual elections and welcomed the following Board Members for 2016:  Corrin Fulton – President;  Brittany Thomas Faith - Vice President/President Elect; Drew Reynolds – Secretary/Treasurer; Jeffrey Maddux – Past President; Justin Faith, Kirby Yost, Jeremy Cothern, Stephanie Rogers, Emma Flynn, Shelton Swafford Chambers, Matt Brock, Rob Carden, Lauren Sherrell and Alexander McVeagh – Board Members.  The Chattanooga YLD held its first social happy hour of the year on January 27 at Stir and will have its next social happy hour on February 23 at the Bitter Alibi.  The group honored Jeffrey Maddux at the CBA’s Annual Luncheon by selecting him as the Volunteer of the Year for his exemplary service to the YLD and the Chattanooga community.

Jackson Madison County Bar Association YLD – The Jackson-Madison County YLD will be working with the Hands Up pre-school this year as well as several other organizations. Knoxville Bar Association Barristers – The Barristers recently elected new officers at its Annual Meeting in December and the group has a number of events and activities planned for the upcoming year:
Law School Mock Interviews – The Law School Mentor Committee will conduct mock interviews from February 1-5 at the UT College Law. Contact Caitlyn Elam if you're interested in participating.
Hunger and Poverty Relief – The Barristers will be selling “Teddygram” e-cards during the weeks of February 8 - 22.  Every $5 donation will go to purchase teddy bears to donate to the Knoxville Police Department, whose officers provide the bears to children in crisis.
Mock Trial - The Mock Trial Committee will hold this year’s Knoxville Bar Association High School Mock Trial Competition on Saturday, February 20, and Saturday, February 27.
Solo/Small Firm Panel – Volunteers are also needed for a Solo/Small Firm Panel at UT Law in March. Contact Caitlyn Elam if you’re interested in participating.
The Barristers will volunteer for Mobile Meals (the Knoxville chapter of Meals on Wheels) delivering meals to seniors the first Tuesday of every month.  Finally, the Hunger and Poverty Relief Committee thanks each and every person and law firm who participated in the Annual Canned Food Drive and the Angel Tree program. With your help, we raised over $15,000 for Second Harvest and provided Christmas gifts for 21 children in Knoxville. Thank you for your continued support of our efforts.
