In a legal victory for the Nashville metro government, Davidson County Chancellor Carol McCoy has thrown out a lawsuit waged by a longtime gun show operator at the city’s fairgrounds. McCoy granted Metro’s motion to dismiss the case saying Bill Goodman’s Gun and Knife Shows did not have standing to sue the city fair board over its decision to halt future gun shows unless new safety rules are in place. Goodman had argued that the vote caused him harm because he already had events scheduled, the Tennessean reports.
