Ronald W. Jenkins of Johnson City died July 7 at the age of 65. A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, Jenkins served as assistant municipal judge for the town of Jonesborough and as staff attorney for the Washington County-Johnson City Emergency Medical Services. He was a Rule 31 mediator and member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, American Judges Association and Tennessee Municipal Judges Association. No visitation or funeral services will be held, but the Washington County Bar Association will hold a celebration of his career on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at its offices: West & Rose, 537 East Center St. in Kingsport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Memory Garden Fund, P.O. Box 246, Limestone, 37681. The Johnson City Press has more on his life.
