Well-known Nashville attorney Dale Quillen died Saturday (Aug. 13), the Tennessean reports. He was 91. Quillen served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in Guam and Iwo Jima, and later earned his law degree from the YMCA Night Law School. He was licensed to practice law in 1956 and practiced for more than 60 years. Davidson County General Sessions Judge William E. "Bill" Higgins worked for Quillen's firm after he graduated from law school and said, “Dale Quillen graciously welcomed me into his law office at 46th and Charlotte Avenue in West Nashville. I learned from him, a fine legal scholar, dedication to my clients and to the law. He will not only be fondly remembered by me, but also by the community for his wit, tenacity, and legal acumen." Service information is pending.
