Senior Judge Don Ash has dismissed Gallatin City Recorder and Judge Connie Kittrell’s lawsuit against the city. Kittrell had sought reimbursement for legal fees incurred after grievances were filed against her by three employees in 2014. Ash granted the city’s motion for summary judgment saying, “The city charter simply does not afford the city recorder representation or reimbursement rights when the interests of the city recorder and the city diverge.” A two-day jury trial had been scheduled to begin Dec. 13.
