Sumner County Commissioner Leslie Schell says there is no need for a campaign to “Save the Courthouse” because the courthouse is not in any danger of being abandoned or demolished. She also said there were no plans to build a judicial building at an industrial park outside of Gallatin city limits, the Tennessean reports. Over the past two years, the commission has had requests for emergency repairs at both the downtown courthouse and the county General Sessions Courthouse and jail. But despite rumors on social media, there is no plan to abandon these buildings, Schell said.
