The criminal case against former state Senator Joe Haynes has been delayed while Nashville judges have recused themselves from the case, the Tennessean reports. On Wednesday, Nashville's six criminal court judges signed an order saying they would not handle the case to avoid “even the appearance of any impropriety.” Trial Court Administrator Tim Townsend said he expects presiding Circuit Judge Joe Binkley to send a request next week to find a judge in a nearby county to handle the case.
