Tennessee Congressman Scott DesJarlais (R-South Pittsburg) will face at least one primary challenger as well as a Democrat in the general election in 2018, the Nashville Post reports. Rutherford County teacher Mariah Phillips has announced her intention to run against DesJarlais as a Democrat, and former Chattanooga police officer Jack Maddux filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission last month to take on the incumbent in the primary.
