The Tennessee Bar Association’s Convention in Kingsport continued today, with the morning hours devoted to the annual Bench Bar program. This year’s theme was feuds, with descendants from the Hatfield and McCoy families appearing and discussing their generation-spanning dispute. This year’s Bench Bar Luncheon featured guest speaker Kevin Triplett, tourism commissioner for the state of Tennessee, who spoke about the traditions of auto racing in Northeast Tennessee. After lunch convention-goers enjoyed “Better Right Now,” a CLE challenging attorneys to improve their health that included a smoothie-making demonstration. See photos from the day's events. Tomorrow will feature a Legislative Update, the Neuroscience of Decision-Making CLE and the ceremonial passing of gavel from President Jason Long to President-Elect Lucian Pera.
