Nashville attorney Edward Joseph Jenkins died last month on July 10. He was 87. Originally from St. Louis, Jenkins served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and received his law degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1954. He practiced law in Nashville with Watkins and Crownover before joining Travelers Insurance Company, where he served as claims manager for the state of Tennessee. After a brief retirement in 1993, he was hired by the Metro Nashville Legal Department as a claims manager, where he worked until 2002. He was a founding member of the Nashville Claims Managers Council and served on the board of Catholic Charities of Tennessee and the Diocese of Nashville.
