A couple has filed suit against the Knox County Sheriff’s Office over the fatal shooting of a family dog, Knoxnews reports. The couple, Kenny and Tina Bailey, say an accidental call was made to 911, resulting in Sheriff’s deputies arriving at the Bailey’s home. The lawsuit claims the officers attempted to lure out one of the family dogs, and later shot one of them. KCSO has not released an official response, per its policy, but officers captured on body camera video are heard saying the home had a history of domestic disturbance calls.
